HI, my name is L------.

(click photo to view Gameboy, bong, etc. in greater detail)

I made a movie.

If you live in Vancouver or near Vancouver (or you've always wanted to visit Vancouver and f*ck it why not? you've got miles), you can come see my movie at the Vancouver Int'l Film Festival on Oct 7 + 10.

I'll be there. They're doing Q&A's after the screenings and I am frankly a little nervous about em so if a couple of you showed up and maybe waved NO CRYING banners, that would be rad.

  30. I just watched the trailer and it was like being in high school again for a couple minutes, Op Ivy song and everything. Nice work.

I can't make it to Vancouver from here (here = Paris) but, cheesy as it sounds, you (and everyone on the site) have been an enormous source of support for me over the last 9 months so I will somehow try to project some of that back your way telepathically.

I'm not sure if this works in every situation, but in order to avoid crying during my wedding ceremony 3 weeks ago I had about half a bottle of champagne before. One glass at a time, of course, but it TOTALLY helped. I didn't cry one bit :)

Just in case though: I got this mascara that creates little tubes around your eyelashes. I forgot what it's called and I'm not at home to check, but it's waterproof and cryproof and it works well.

    Congratulations!

    ReplyDelete
  33. YES! And if you want me to make no crying banners I'd be very happy to do so (seriously!). I'd also throw in a few "Suck it up" "Pretend we are all naked" and maybe a couple "Grow some balls" banners. That should help, yeah? CONGRATS!

  34. Impressive! I want to see!

To placate all your NYC fans (me included) you should probably set up a showing here: http://reruntheater.com/index.php

I'm getting married at the Gastropub associated with this theater, and the whole place is awesome. Their theater seats are seats from cars!
