Emily Thompson has just been crowned New York's "floral designer du jour."

Nobody who knows her expected any less.

I mean, I'd go for a tablescape of lady slipper orchids, maidenhair ferns, daffodils, crocuses, and dried beetles any day.

Amazeballs Headpieces

My lady Emily of Emily Thompson Flowers just sent me these pics of the headpieces she made for Sean Lennon & Charlotte Kemp Muhl for the new issue of Bust magazine.

Not only is Emily endorsing a headpiece for the brazen groom, she would also like to argue in favor of the good old fashioned boutonniere. She told me "The guy from a man from U.N.C.L.E once escaped using a tiny knife hidden in his..."

Just don't do both, okay?

Corsages are the new WHATEVER

When I first saw a wedding corsage on little winter bride, I thought, Hmmm.... I dunno if I can get on board with prom.

But then my lady Emily Thompson sent me this photo of a corsage she made from smokebush, Yves Piaget garden rose and castor pod. Nothing prom about it.
