I have a problem

As soon as something gets popular, I am over it. (See: mustache kitsch)

This is quite exhausting for me and those close to me. (Read: my husband)

But entertaining for you, I hope?

Anyhoo, furry hats are all over New York. On locals, tourists, men, women, children.... I rocked mine, don't get me wrong. It was f'ing cold. But I moaned softly to myself every time I passed someone else wearing one.

Think I'll have to put the hat away for a few years.

p.s. I don't even want to talk about the uggs that are everywhere. Fashion capital. People should know better.

  1. The one thing that those two horrible trends have going for them...warmth! It's so cold! I'm only a bit ashamed to say that I'm planning on wearing the UG{ly}GS today. It's 30*, so that helps me get over the guilt!

There is no excuse for the hats though...so ugly.

  2. Oh so cosy though. It does sound exhausting my dear. I would like to say that I know your pain but I'm too damn lazy to get out of my pyjamas, let alone put on a hat.

  3. I have never understood how California has been able to rock the Ugg (specifically with shorts and a bikini top in July) for over 18 years. Seriously, remember that episode of 90210 when Brandon rescued the drunk girl from drowning. That was her signature outfit and it JUST WON'T DIE!

  4. Uggs and Crocs...for people who want terrible footwear all year round.

  5. Okay, because this is a safe space I'm going to admit something to you guys. I had a Croc moment somewhere around 2002. Actually, they weren't Crocs, they were a Canadian brand called Holey Soles.... But anyhoo, I got rid of them as soon as Crocs hit big. I promise.
