Bridesmaid romper is allowed. Bridal romper is not, primarily because it involves the words "bridal" and "romp".
Oh I am DOWN for a bridal romper. I had considered one for myself. But I am especially down for this bridesmaid romper. Yes.
I'm just too frisky to wear a onesie. But the colors of this are gorgeous.
@nikki i think i'll leave that alone.
I think it is just because a romper must be really short to be hot. shorter than one would wear to a wedding.no doubt this romper is hot. but entirely too short for nups. unless you had a friends only kind of wedding.
I LOVE rompers. Keep'em coming...
As a male I, and all of my male friends and some females, have yet to figure out what is so hot and/or sexy about a romper. I believe they need to be banished to the trash bin of fashion history. I'd be fascinated to hear some explanations as to why some of you consider them hot.And yes, I realize women dress for each other and not men. But why must you subject us to the disaster that is the romper?Rob
No, no, no. They are fine for the beach or pool or lake or what-have-you, but not at a wedding. At least, not for me. @Rob - I tried telling her. Rompers are cute among fashion-y girls, but they are a man repeller.
The only reason I am against rompers is because I pee alot, and who wants to take their whole ensemble off every few hours?!
@Rob, Rompers and fugly furry boots to the trash bin of fashion history. Stat.
I take issue with the romper because, while they look darling on skinny women like the model above, on a crew of women who are bridesmaids and very likely a variety of sizes and shapes rompers are not universally flattering. If my friend asked me to wear the above romper in her wedding, I would have to politely decline. While I love my strong thighs, this would look horrible on me.
here's the deal w/ rompers: i have found a couple i think are cute, but they're always too short in the body and i end up having to walk hunched over.
think this would be really cute for a beach wedding, esp if the bride is wearing one also. And I agree with Ms. Bunny, they pretty much all have to be skinny like the model.
Have to defend the romper. I <3 them. I have a post-bridal romper (http://i.pgcdn.com/pi/85/46/51/854651617_160.jpg) I'm looking forward to more than the wedding dress itself (which I will also have to take completely off to pee). BUT. Rompers definitely don't look good on everyone, so I don't think there will ever been a non-controversial romper. And they definitely should never be forced on bridesmaids. What I don't get is all the hating (not here, all over including real life friends/colleagues/strangers) - if something doesn't flatter me, I just won't wear it. I don't complain about its existence.
i am with you. viva the rompers!
I LOVE this princess lasertron romperhttp://www.dresses.princesslasertron.com/dress108
Rompers forever. And ever.Playful, sweet, sexy. WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE?
Hmmm.....only cute on a toddler. Illogical on an adult. Not at all flattering. Please please please, we have made it to adulthood, please let us dress like it!
Oh man. Why not wedding harem pants, while we're at it?I nix the romper based on the ease of peeing scale, on which it registers zero.
i love the wedding romper. LOVE. wish i had the legs to wear one, and as such would probably die of shame if the bride picked one for the weddings i'm in this summer...@rob: manrepeller.com
@elizabeth WHOA. aren't you worried rob's brain will explode if he goes on that site?
I SOOOOO would have had my maids in rompers if they would have followed suit. Shit, I should have worn a romper.I'll just romp around my living room now.
Rob and my husband are on the same page. While I don't love *this* romper, I do occasionally like a long black romper. Husband has threatened to take away my credit cards whenever I bring it up.He also hates furry boots, for the record.
i currently own an adult romper, but romper + party = restroom hazard. i peed my pants in the second grade because i couldn't get my fucking romper off fast enough.kristina
@east side bride maybe, but if he feels that strongly, at least he'll have a cultural reference for the best (worst?) case scenarios?
I think the romper is great....
@ESB my head is still in one piece and @elizabeth I found that site quite entertaining, some good some awful.I thought it might be helpful for me to further explain why rompers are so horrendous. After several discussions on the topic last night I and a few others came up with the following: @kristina right on, rompers = second grade (actually third was mentioned last night) and that can never be sexy.I have never seen a romper that seemed like it fit correctly. Ill fitting clothes never helped anyone look good.Rompers never flatter any woman's assets. I'm not talking just about the male standards (derriere & bosom) either. Women with good legs magically have bad legs in rompers, good shoulders turn horrid, elegant necks turn to tree trunks, etc.The most common problem I have come across is this: when a male sees a romper he sees a mop that has just cleaned the restroom floor and we don't want to have anything to do with that.@Anonymous and @Meg the furry boots need to go too.Gladiator shoes must go too.And please oh please don't wear your MuckBoots or Wellies unless it is actually RAINING, sprinkles don't count. And again for the record, I am fully aware women don't dress for men. You dress to enjoy yourselves, get compliments from, and to impress each other. We should consider ourselves fortunate that you occasionally wear something we like.@ESB, love the site. I visit every day.
I have this awesome Rogan romper that's been in my closet with the tags on it for at least 3 years. Ugh, wish I'd wear it already.
