handwritten invitations

See the little guys swimming? The invites (in Swedish) are for a pool party. Elisabeth said it took her son "one concentrated hour" to make em.

Anybody getting ideas? Because our printed invites sure took longer than an hour to make.

fine little day via {frolic!}

p.s. It is effing hot today. I wanna go to a pool party!

  1. God do I feel stupid for spending a month gluing fabric to watercolour paper and trying to stop the printed spitting out our invitations at a 45 degree angle.

  3. See I think we are on the same page. This is how I feel about our envelopes at least. I ended up having a chance to get calligraphy for free, but I had to turn it down (lovely as it was) because our wedding invitations need to be from me. I just need two concentration hours to do them, tongue sticking out of the corner of my mouth.

  4. How lovely!

    Miss Manners would approve! She says that engraving is a secondary substitute for handwriting.:) And if they're handwritten by a child...well, that's just beyond cool.

  5. A handwritten invitation? With a personal please-come-because-it-would-mean-so-much-to-us note? Now THAT'S an invitation I'd file away and save.

  7. I hand addressed our envelopes and they kinda looked like these when I was finished.

    As long as the postman can read them.
