Back in business

My beloved laptop is finally back from the shop rocking a new hard drive, and H-town spent all night setting her up. I would dive into my google reader (and tackle those *four* tags) if I didn't have so much other crap to catch up with.

Crap.

But I am happy as a clam. H-town gave me a bunch of new music, and some new software I think. I don't know what the f*ck he did, to be honest. Sometimes my brain stops listening when he talks about computers. I just know it works!

  1. Yay! Welcome back. While I may not always talk, I am usually lurking, and your absence was noticed.

  2. Awww. Feels soooo good to be back on my own computer. H-town started making a habit of looking over my shoulder to make sure I was *writing* and not blogging on his. And I kept reaching up for my delicious tag and it wasn't there. Very disconcerting.

  3. Also. I still am dying to know. I guess I could ask the question to, oh I don't know a technology website, or a mac genius, but this is just *so* ready at hand. Does all of our blog habits significantly reduce the life our our computers? Does it really? Am I the only one who doesn't know what is likely an obvious answer... I guess the more you use something....... sigh.....

  4. Hahahahahahaha. Has your productivity been totally through the roof? Maybe I should have Ben monitor my usage....

  5. I don't know. H freaked out b/c I downloaded a picture onto his desktop that didn't have the right extension or something. He is much more cautious than me. And he had so much security all over his internet that I couldn't log in to bunch of my usual sites. But I don't think it was anything malicious that brought me down. My computer is almost 4 years old, so it was just time for a new hard drive. Best advice I got was, if it starts making noise, take it in immediately. And *back up*

  6. Productivity is up, but so is my workload :S

I may have to reign in my blog activity for the next couple of months. I did learn that it's possible....

  8. Welcome back, I missed you!

You made me laugh with H Town freaking out about you downloading a suspicious picture. Boys are so funny with their super-cautious computers.

I've been considering disconnecting myself from the internet during working hours. For every 8 hours I spend at my computer I get about 2 hours of work done.
