accessory help, plz!

Dear ESB,

Yesterday I went into Saks on a whim, pretending to be the kind of person who actually shops, tried on two dresses just for fun, fell madly in love with the second dress, and bought it. I didn't think my wedding dress would have this effect, but I keep thinking of it and grinning uncontrollably. (I went on to get caught in a torrential downpour with the dress, safely in a garment bag, and then later that night try it on for my friend in the bathroom of a bar.)

But now I have no idea what to wear with it. My go-to jewelry pieces are cuff bracelets and big earrings, although big earrings are probably too much with these sparkly shoulders? I think I like this, but it's far more than I can afford.

I'm thinking nude pumps, but maybe that's really boring?

Basically, I have no effing clue and could use the infinite wisdom of esb and her evil club of mean hipster brides (aka the best club on the internet).

xo,
clueless

You've got good taste, lady. This one almost killed me. Every cheaper version of the AurĂ©lie Bidermann cuff just looks.... Cheap.

How bout a little something by Arielle de Pinto?

Brass Cross Hatch Bracelet ($335) or Multi-Tress Gold Bracelet ($410)

Or am I still way out of the ballpark??

And then of course these Rose Lizard-Embossed Loeffler Randalls.

  2. YES THAT DRESS AND THOSE SHOES.

Also, esb's bracelet choices are really pretty, but I would worry about them catching on the silk.

    1. Yeah, I agree. You don't want to be worrying about that.

  5. not sure where you're based, but if SF/NYC/PDX have any significance to you, one of these bridge cuffs by Betsy & Iya could be awesome.

    2. @Anon 10:24 - That cuff looks a lot like this one.

Since the dress is so soft and sweet, I might opt for something a bit edgier like this cuff. I also love everything that Pamela Love does. This cuff of hers is gorgeous.

  9. You guys are getting too wacky with the crocheted stuff. I think that's way too much texture, and it could mess up the silk.
I'm seeing Lucite! It won't compete with all the draping, and complements the old Hollywood look of the dress.

  12. There are two lace-like cuffs by Stella & Dot that are far more economical:

  15. There have been some good suggestions already. Love the dress and ESB's shoe choice. Just stumbled across this cuff at Neiman and thought I'd throw it in the mix.

  16. Simply my opinion, but I effing HATE when brides wear accessories... You & Your dress should shine on its own! But those shoes are a definite yes...

  17. ESB, I have grown obsessed with these shoes and now I want them for my wedding even though I vowed I'd wear a pair I already own. WHY are they $325??? So unfair.
