Marriage advice from pooh

“If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”
-- Winnie the Pooh

I'd love to use this quote in the ceremony. Or have I gone off my rocker again?

  1. Nope. I'm going to post soon asking for funny marrige quotes, so same page. I donno, I'm just oooovvvvvvvveeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr that "I remember when our eyes met for the first time" crap. First of all, that must have been when we were 14, and frankly, did not get along very well at all. Second, we are just not gushy like that in public, ick. And thirdly, who said weddings can't be funny? (I know, everyone. But whatever. Between you and me, they are wrong. And Lame.)

  2. We've gotta go a little silly with it. That's just who we are! And a personal wedding is the best kind :)

  3. That's brilliant! The Boy and I want to write it into our vows!

    Weddings should be fun.

  4. I am seriously considering working this in somewhere:

Marriage is the alliance of two people, one of whom never remembers birthdays and the other who never forgets.
