I think more than one person on my list will be getting this calendar. Each of Nikki McClure's images "is an original papercut, cut from a single piece of paper."
From
buyolympia.com or
Greer Chicago.
p.s. Check out the rad interview with McClure on
Fecal Face. Sorry Portland, but Olympia
invented indie.
i want to LIVE inside this calendar.
ReplyDeleteWow--that's amazing! We've already committed to no Christmas presents, otherwise someone would be getting this too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Nikki McClure's work!! She's from my hometown too (though I don't know her:)
ReplyDeleteIndie, in this usage, meaning just what, exactly?
ReplyDeleteDid you read the interview, LPC?
ReplyDeleteWhen I say "Olympia invented indie" I'm being silly, of course, but I'm referencing McClure's relationship with K Records and Kill Rock Stars, two Oly labels who pioneered "indie rock" before the term was coopted by mainstream record companies in the 90's.
portland's a little sister and they know it. (a very sweet little sister, mind you.)
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure I can express how badly I want this.
ReplyDeletewhat a cool lady! love her work.
ReplyDeleteAh. No. I couldn't click on the fecal thing. Have read now. Thanks.
ReplyDelete"the fecal thing" just made me giggle.
ReplyDeletei love this nikki's calendar. it has been a staple in my home since 2002.
ReplyDeleteYummmmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeletei &heart; fecal things.
ReplyDeletealso, this calendar. so sweet! i love the idea of getting everyone the same thing. makes life/shopping much easier. even though i don't *do* holidays.
