Corsages are the new WHATEVER

When I first saw a wedding corsage on little winter bride, I thought, Hmmm.... I dunno if I can get on board with prom.

But then my lady Emily Thompson sent me this photo of a corsage she made from smokebush, Yves Piaget garden rose and castor pod. Nothing prom about it.

p.s. Emily is featured on the Elle blog this week. Check it out.

  1. this is awesome! i'd prefer this than making my bridesmaids carry big bouquets.

  2. I'm still up in the air about florals at all, but if they looked like this (corsage, bouquet, centerpieces, otherwise) I'd have a really hard time saying no. Spiky pink YES.

  9. i didn't think my florist could come up with something as awesome as the above corsage... so i had her scrap them and the boutonnieres all together.

she pretty much had a conniption. i don't know if anyone has ever asked her not to do them.

where was emily when i needed her?

  10. I want one of these in felt that I can clip to all of my old lady cardigans that I wear to work.

And I would give my left nut to see your prom pictures. I would totally swap with you, but I wasn't cool enough to go to prom. Maybe you'll send it to me and just take the nut instead?

  17. This is very pretty and simple. Would've like it better for my prom than a big honkin corsage that didn't even match my prom dress.
