because I'm obsessed

I thought you should know these would make great bachelorette party favors. Or stocking stuffers. Made from scratchy, super hairy wool and stuffed with polyfill for squishy goodness by shannongerard.

My very unscientific observation of etsy + hipster holiday craft fairs has revealed that the mustache is the new owl. Remember when owls were f'ing everywhere?

(From L, who may or may not be reading the blog. My meatspace friends never comment. I think they like to keep me guessing.)

  1. I do appreciate a good mustache, but I don't know if anything can replace my love for baby owls. Maybe a mustache made out of fur could do it. Fake/recycled fur of course.

  2. my dad has a mustache. i think he would have a beard if he could, but pilots [at least where he worked] are not allowed beards. [?!?] When I saw that egg press card you posted about long ago I ran out and got it for him for fathers day. it was so perfect.

  5. I count on you to be cutting edge. San Francisco is the new Brooklyn, after all.

  6. I have 2 reactions to the moustache trend in women:

    1. Is it really just penis envy?

    2. Are we going to start embracing the hairy woman?

I can't lie, I have a complex with hair and women.

  7. Mrs Peonies and Polaroids has sent me over here - she told me it was a place where moustaches are appreciated, and obviously she was right! My significant other has recently grown himself what can only be described as a handlebar moustache. And to my surprise I think it's rather sexy.

As a girl who spends way too much time plucking long black hairs out of her chin, if there is a women with facial hair movement about to start, I want in!

  8. So true---'staches ARE the new owls! Beards too---did you see the beard hat that Jo featured yesterday at Cup of Joe? My lame husband decided this halloween that a fake mustache was the only halloween costume he needed, and of course he got to work and about 5 other people had decided the same thing!

This one is much funnier and much less creepy than the one he wore though :)

  10. My sister-in-law to be always places her hair over her face like a 'stache. Me thinks this is the best Christmas gift for her yet :)
