hippie wedding (update)

With the right wedges (obv), wouldn't this Thakoon Addition Twist Front Gown make a slammin update on the hippie wedding dress pictured left? After I made fun of Lanie's attempts at a hippie wedding look, I figured I ought to put my money where my mouth is.

Anyhoo, the Thakoon dress was featured in Refinery29's latest alt wedding dress round-up, so go get it while the getting is good.

p.s. EJ, how many effing blogs do you have now anyway? FOUR?? How do you expect me to find that thing I remember seeing on ONE OF YOUR BLOGS six months ago?

**Update: Christina posted a great response to the consumerism issue.**

  3. I reallly dig on the hippie vibe + do truly believe that thakoon would be a mighty fine choice for any fashionyflowerchild. BUT I was majorly disappointed with R29's roundup (then again I have been looking at them with a wary eye since they started pushing olivia palermo on me...) I just think its bullshit to pull a bunch of white frocks together and call them wedding dresses. Where's the color edge brahs? Where are the cream colored overalls???

  4. I know. I'm ridiculous. I'm an OCD organizational freak.

  5. PS: But would a hippie pay $1,690 for a wedding dress? I just don't know.

  6. ESB -- so, the stuff that comes WITH mascara is WHITE. like paste from grade school. the other kind has an iffy translucence to it, and a claw-like applicator. nonetheless, i remain hopeful.

regarding the tweetering, i am a slow poke & terrified of new technology. i guess my beats are my tweets.

  7. I've been using lash enhancer mascara (the two step kind w/ the white primer). #1, the brand I have is rated green on the Skin Deep database. #2, it does actually lengthen and curl my sad, pale, straight little lashes into being noticeable! Downside: it is kind of clumpy :(
