Seeking: rehearsal shooz.

Hi ESB,

FH husband and I are getting married on Miami Beach in March and I've relied heavily on your blog for wedding advice and etiquette. We'll be having a non-traditional rehearsal dinner that will involve rooftop cocktails and dancing. I'll be wearing this DVF dress [pictured above] but can't seem to find shoes that are fun and under $250.

Any chance you and your awesome crew can help?

Thanks!
Just Missing the Shoes

While I'm on an Emerson Fry kick (thanks, ladies)......

How bout these nude leather ankle straps?

They're a teence over your budget, but look how great her legs look!

And I feel like they might actually be *comfortable.*

  1. The Frankie Pump from Madewell seems like it would work in Miami...

    1. Are Madewell shoes comfortable? I always think they look so cute, but I don't trust clothing store shoes.

    2. I have several pairs of their sandals with the stacked wooden heel (similar to these) and am able to wear them all around town.

    3. I've tried on many pairs of Madewell boots/shoes. One pair even came home with me and then got returned. They look weird on my feet. Their clothes don't work for me either. Sad face.

  2. Nailed it, ESB. I want everything from Emerson Fry's new collection.

  3. These wedges would be way under your budget.

And I covet them, in Rose Gold. Seychelles are super super comfortable. I wore a pair when I got married and I danced the whole damn night away.

    1. oh, what pair did you wear for your wedding? I'm considering getting a pair of seychelles for mine, but wasn't sure if they were 'bridal' enough?..

      something like this pair

      or this pair

    2. J, go for it! Both would be great. Besides, assuming your dress is long, they will hardly be on display. Not everything has to be white and satin.

    3. I think Just Missing the Shoes should get them in melon. I know, that's a lot of one color, but it's such a pretty one. This seems like an appropriate occasion to go over the top with color.

    4. SO I am super late to reply, BUT, here are the shoes I wore in my wedding, Seychelles Daisy Wheel. Much cuter on your foot than not. [And I'm sure it pains ESB to know it but my dress was J Crew. So there! It had sleeves. I effing loved it.]

  4. Wooden heels and a cocktaildress?! I like the emerson fry's but I think the are way to casual for the dress.

  5. Zara has lots of heels for under $100. These might work?

Also, these are way over budg, but someone needs to buy these: Miu Miu 50% off

  9. I'd say...
    Zara A

    Zara B

    Zara C

    Zara D

and if you like to get comfy when you dance,

    Zara E

  10. These Michael Kors in nude are stellar and highly comfortable. They also come in a slingback version if that's more your deal.

  12. Good God I love your dress. And a) Wear your wedding shoes. If you're wearing a long dress for the wedding this is a great chance to show them off/stretch your budget b) Ignore that advice if you, like most humans, want to seize the opportunity to buy great new shoes. Definitely the Emerson Fry, the rose gold Seychelles (seriously the most comfortable shoes) or another ankle strap version like these, from the equally comfy Sam Edelman - http://www.zappos.com/sam-edelman-sutton-saddle-leopard?ef_id=UMiw5AAASJIFU17R:20130325020342:s
