I am so. over. the GIANT FLOWER headpiece.

IknowIknowIknow. Some of my best friends got married with big flowers on their heads.... But I must say I was stoked when this Topanga Canyon wedding showed up in my inbox yesterday. Sara has it goin on with her vintage headpiece.

I'll put up more pics later this week.

Blame cevd if it makes you feel better. She told me a month ago she was sick of seeing GIANT FLOWERS everywhere.

  3. I know. I... not that what I wore was really a flower, but. That's the one thing I wonder if I should have gone more timeless on, everything else was pretty timeless, so.

    Well, whatever. done.

  7. Can't wait to see the rest of this wedding .... but have no opinion on flowers versus headpieces, like both and don't love either.

  8. Big flowers are like sashes and strapless dresses, still beautiful and timeless on the right person but absolute hell on most people.

  10. Haha. I feel like this is one of those trends that is going to look super dated in five years.

  11. I hope the whole world turns into a nudist colony. Then everything will be dated. And we'll be arguing the timelessness of a bikini wax.

Oh well, can't win 'em all. Love my hair flower. Hate wedding Cons. Whatareyougonnado?

  12. I tried on a huge flower and it just looked hugely stupid. Then again, I tried on pretty headbands and those looked pretty stupid too. I decided that there's something wrong with these trends and not the shape of my head. Except the trend is clearly okay in this photo, which is awesome.

  13. I don't mind the giant flowers, but I am irked by the odd hippie/flapper placement of it. Especially if it creates that odd mushroom shape at the top of the hair.

  15. funny story. i was so set on the big flower in my hair. i'm pretty short and i knew a veil would not work for me. so, i went headpiece shopping and tried on my first big flower. didn't work... maybe i needed to try another one. same deal. i tried on a third one, looked in the mirror and thought, "i look like a fucking idiot". so, i ended up choosing one very similar to sara's. it's GORGEOUS!!
and no, i do not want to offend anyone who wore or is wearing a big flower at their wedding... it just wasn't for me.
