SEEKING: a short/long dress for a Belgian bride

Dear esb,

You must be fed up with those dress questions but I try my chance. i have had the idea for a while of having a short dress with a long transparent skirt. I am quite short and I think it would be the most flattering. What do you think of the idea?

I found that one from Temperley [pictured above] but it is sold out so need to find something else...

Here it is in sizes 2 & 6 (UK 6 & 10). Buy that sucker!!!

  1. I had my Romona Keveza made into a strapless minidress covered by a one-shouldered, point d'esprit long dress. I highly recommend the strategy:). All the voila my legs, all of the decorum, at once.

Girl in the link looks tacky. Girl in the photo above looks omgincredible.

    1. I think the color, white versus more beige, makes all the difference.

But I also really hate this style of dress and I think it's both ugly and super trendy, meaning your future children/nieces will totally make fun of your wedding pictures.

    2. Changing the waistband might help make the dress look cooler

  4. Just as a warning - I bought the short version of this dress and the lining looks nude instead of ivory. Like bathing suit lining.
