Emma Cassi styling

Emma Cassi is a French jewelry designer and interior stylist. See Design*Sponge for pics of her white-on-white London flat with the perfect flea market furniture that will make you feel deeply uncool.

But, more importantly, can I replicate these wild chandelier florals for my wedding?

New from toybreaker

A little wishbone is printed high upon the necktie so that it'll peek through a jacket or vest. I love this for a wedding tie! Just the right blend of sweet and badass.

Buy it here.

No, toybreaker is not sponsoring me, I just think they're rad. If only FH had more occasion to wear ties...

Trina Turk Summer

I'm stuck for a rehearsal dress. We're doing a picnic on the beach, so it needs to be informal... but fabulous. These Trina Turk dresses from the Summer 08 Collection are pretty f'n fabulous.

She also has great bathing suits in the online store. Hello honeymoon!

Groom Style: John Varvatos

Hot. Shop the catalogue online here.

Or read about the new boutique at the old CBGB on the Style Guy Blog. (Unbride, you might be interested.) It's kind of a museum... That sells clothes.

New work from Digby & Iona

Digby & Iona, my favorite Brooklyn jewelry designers, just posted pics of this Filigreed Spyglass necklace and Seppie ring with blue topaz eyes and black diamond spots.

Sigh.

Not for sale yet that I can see, but they've got other stuff at catbird, my favorite Brooklyn jewelry store.

Why is the jewelry just better in Brooklyn?

Ruth Bernstein Headbands at Reform School

When I saw these at the store in Silver Lake, I got this overwhelming urge to buy one even though I already have a plan for my hair...

Made from vintage flowers & millinery. And now for sale on Reform School's website.

Also take a peek at Reform School's eco-chic home accessories.

Marimekko + H&M

These are two brands I love, but aside from the bathing suits (cute!) the collaboration kind of sucks. Does "arty" and "fun" have to mean shapeless? See for yourself at H&M.

The clothes hit the stores today.

Skinny Jeans Are Over

The Shape of Denim, Milan from The Sartorialist.

Hooray! Seriously, isn't a wider leg more flattering on everybody?

La Perla loses out to Target

According to Consumer Reports, the $12 Gilligan and O'Malley padded demi bra (sold at Target) outperformed a $127 La Perla Vintage and a $45 Victoria Secret Ipex Demi for comfort, fit and durability. Via New York Magazine.

I hate that grandma nude color, but maybe it comes in black... (And, surprise! They're out of stock online.)

Creme de la Merde

I really wanted this stuff to work, even though it costs $125 an ounce. Madonna bathes in it. John Waters uses it. (Wait, is that an endorsement?) My best friend swears by it. She bought a jar before she got married and she says she'll never go back. The little lines in her face melted away, the tiny scars from old blemishes disappeared, blah blah blah.

I've given Creme de la Mer three tries, with clear skin and an open mind. I got bumps all over my forehead every time. Bah.

If you've had an amazing experience, I don't really want to hear about it. I'm going back to Neutrogena for Sensitive Skin.

Bumble and bummer

The Alojoba shampoo and conditioner by Bumble and bumble left my hair fabulously soft and half a shade lighter. Great if you're a blond maybe, but I'm a dark brunette and I'd like to stay that way.

Beware chamomile! I couldn't figure it out until I was lathering up one day (actually, this stuff doesn't really lather) and happened to read the list of ingredients.

Available on drugstore.com if you must.

Groom Style: Alexander McQueen

Navy Suit and Paisley Skull Tie at Sefton UK. (It's true, I like skulls. On ties and and elsewhere.)

A warning to those outside the UK - Sefton's shipping charges are pretty hefty. I emailed to ask if they would really charge 25 British pounds to send a tie that cost 65, but got no response.

Bodas

This is the image on my desktop (taken by FH), reminding me not to take it all so seriously.

We think it kind of looks like us.

The bride wore pink... by Sarah Perlis

Speaking of fabulous pink earrings, I found these tourmaline studs by Sarah Perlis at Steven Alan. And the long chain bezel earrings are on the Sarah Perlis site.

Etsy Wonder: Laurie Brown

One-of-a-kind tiny peanut and pygmy seahorse cast in 14k gold by Laurie Brown of aubergine228. See more photos on her Flickr page.

I found Laurie on etsy a month or two ago and went out of my mind with excitement. I have a strange, delicate object I want to cast in silver and she has agreed to take on the project... If it works maybe I'll post pics here.

Yes, more sneakers

I just happened upon Keep, this great little store in my neighborhood. I'll admit I'm obsessed with sneakers. Is everybody sick to death??
